What types of classes do we offer here at 3rd Degree? Bodyweight Fitness Camps - Functional training better prepares the body for daily activities. At 3rd Degree Training, we do a full-body functional training. Never tried a group fitness class before? You’re in the right place! We have modifications to make easier on you until you progress at your own pace. HYBRID - Our Hybrid Class mix our traditional HIIT functional fitness class, incorporating dumbbells and a few ne...w challenges that will help you with muscle toning, fat burning and reaching that healthy weight to improve your life and well-being. It is a functional training style of class to help you improve muscular strength, flexibility and balance. An effective workout if you want some help with toning and fat burning. Weight Circuits - We also offer Weight Circuits incorporating some equipment it’s an effective workout that complements the high-intensity workouts on toning muscles and burning fat. Stretch & Strength - Our Stretch and Strength class improves muscular strength, flexibility and balance. We know that as we age, our bodies lose muscle and bone density making it less stable. A few minutes a week working on areas like arms, legs and core muscles can make you stronger. It could help prevent diseases like osteoporosis, not to mention avoid injuries. Virtual Classes - Same awesome program, motivation, accountability and community is also available online! Live and recorded classes and exercise from the comfort of your home. No special equipment required. 3rd Degree Training Virtual membership includes unlimited access to daily new workouts through a private Facebook group and our community will help you stay motivated and accountable to achieve your fitness and health goals. 5 reasons to use a stability ball in your workouts A stability ball is a versatile and dynamic workout tool that you should seriously consider including in your workout routine. You can incorporate a stability ball in nearly any type of workout to challenge your body and take your fitness, particularly your core stability, to the next level. Encourages body weight workouts - From planks, push-ups, dips and mountain climbers, most workout routines can incorporate a stabi...lity ball and improve the results. Strengthens your core - rows, dumbbell presses and bicep curls. As you perform all these, you will also be strengthening your core because you have to constantly use your core muscles to maintain stability. Improve flexibility - Even if the ball is not actually part of your workout routine, you can just use it to stretch and warm up your muscles before your workout. Quinoa Vegetable Soup This hearty soup might be vegetarian, but it's super filling thanks to quinoa, white beans, kale, carrots, and celery. INGREDIENTS 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil... 1 medium onion, chopped 2 carrots, peeled and cut into thin rounds 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced 3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced 1 large zucchini, cut into 1/2" pieces 1 (14.5-oz.) can diced tomatoes 1 (15.5-oz.) can cannellini beans, rinsed and drained 1 c. quinoa 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 8 c. low-sodium vegetable broth 8 oz. Tuscan kale, ribs removed and leaves thinly sliced 1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice Crushed red pepper flakes, for serving DIRECTIONS In a large pot over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add onion, carrot, celery, and garlic and season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes. Add zucchini, diced tomatoes, beans, quinoa, and cumin. Pour in broth and stir to combine. Bring to a boil and boil until quinoa is tender, about 13 minutes. Stir in kale and cook until wilted, 1 minute more, then stir in lemon juice. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes and serve! The perfect soup for a chilly Sunday! *recipe from delish.com

Good morning fitness family Chris and I want to thank each and everyone of you who sent messages of kind words and support for us the last 12 hours. We are blown away by the support, loyalty and... perseverance of our fitness family to get through this minor bump in the road We will get you guys though this and continue to keep your fitness routines online and still provide motivation, accountability and community. I will be at the center tomorrow if anyone needs to borrow weights or mats for their workouts over the next two weeks. Please reach out to me and we can set up a time! My staff and myself are here to workout with you though zoom, FaceTime etc.. if you need that extra push This is only temporary and we will be back on the mats soon!
