A few of my favourite jacket-to-bag transformations from the past. Someone once described my work as reincarnation made portable and I kinda like that. #earthdayeveryday #textilerevival #remakingmemories #thisbaghashistory #ecofriendly #sustainablefashion
No panic. There is always plenty of toilet paper.

I'm often asked how I make the cute legs for my birds so here is the answer in a video. The wire used is 18 gauge. Thanks for watching!
Pouches and doilies and leaves, just a few of my favourite things.
Bluebird of happiness. I only had enough of this pretty turquoise to make 3, such is the way of reclaimed fabric. Limited edition 3/3. 1 & 2 have already found homes
A while back I took on the task of making a bag from a Hudson’s Bay sweater. The owner has been enjoying it for a few months now and I realized I never shared the pictures. Along with the sweater I used some beautiful soft leather to make a messenger style bag with an extra long adjustable strap and a plaid shirt interior. Perfect for a Canadian winter don’t you think?
Goldie on a monstera ~had to combine my love of sewing and my love of house plants somehow. I watered all my plants this morning and now I’m cutting out yellow fabric
A ray of sunshine on a freezing day
Progress on my fabric interpretation of a yellow finch. Time to stitch
Chickadees are tiny reminders to stay curious and cheerful
Working on a custom bag, Which lining will I chose? #hudsonsbaystripes

Mrs. Cardinal sitting pretty Tomorrow I will be listing a cardinal couple and 2 chickadees. They can’t wait to fly to new homes.
Everything is grand at the Mother’s Day pop up shop
I’ll be participating in a pop-up shop today at the Grand Hotel ballroom downtown Carleton Place. FREE Admission (donations of non-perishable food for the Lanark County Food Bank are appreciated)
These birds underwent a little surgery as it was pointed out to me that their legs were bent the wrong way. Now I know that bird legs don’t bend the same way as a human knee. You learn something new everyday.
Hello feathered friends Have you spotted any cardinals lately?
