Sometimes a repair comes in where it is just not fixable. :)

An additional security tip to help you protect your account. If you go to settings, then Security & Login, there is now a section where you can pick 3 - 5 friends to advocate for you should your facebook account ever get hacked and you cannot get into it. It is a good idea to have this as an added security measure should your account ever be locked out.

3T Solutions, where we go to great lengths for you! This one client's hard drive failed. It was an older Windows Vista system, so the hard drive was at the end of its lifespan. We installed a solid state hard drive, threw on Windows 10, and turned the clunker into a hot rod - giving the system a new lease on life.... And then the fun began.... While the data recovery went well, there was a problem retrieving emails. Did you know that Outlook 2013 will not import Windows Mail (Vista Edition) or Windows Live Mail? Me neither! So, one of the tech's had to hunt for a copy of Outlook 2010. Fortunately the option to import from Windows Mail was available, data copied. Emails are now saved. Life is good! Or is it. Drop off the computer, show the client around their revamped system, go through the email - and emails are missing. About a thousand emails were missing. (there were. *cough* lots to begin with). Advise the client they will receive their missing emails. Did you know that Outlook 2010 can not successfully import a large volume of emails? Neither does Microsoft! What now? Well. Now we need to get creative. All part of Thinking Things Through. Out comes the old CD Booklet... Pick out a scratched up copy of Windows Vista and install it. Oh look a copy of Office 2007 - that was released around the same time we will also use that. Go into Office 2007. Import data...aaand.. Missing emails still. Jump back onto the Windows Vista computer, head back into Windows Mail. Go to Export.... Export to Outlook.. Yes! Emails are now exporting. Conditions: Office 2007/2010 & Windows Vista must both be 32-bit or 64-bit. If one is 32-bit and the other is 64-bit you will receive a MAPI error when you export from Windows Mail. The end.. ?

If you ever get a phone call from someone saying that your computer has been infected - either hang up the phone, or play a prank on them and record it. No corporation will ever call you to tell you that your computer has a problem as they do not have access to see anything on your system.
