On January 29th Soldiers from 41 CBG had the honour of taking part in the 100th birthday celebration of Henry Jackson, along with members of the Calgary Police Service, Fire Department Emergency Health Services, and the Royal Canadian Legion. As a member of Bomber Command, Mr. Jackson served as a Rear Gunner with the Royal Canadian Air Force during the Second World War, flying 31 missions over occupied Europe. For his service, Mr. Jackson was awarded the Distinguished Fly Cro...ss and the French Legion of Honour. Following the war, Mr. Jackson returned to Alberta and served as a member of the Calgary Police Service.
