I have just put in an order for a few drag sleds with the amazing KB dog sport equipment! I just wanted to give anyone here locally a chance to get in on my order! The sleds are 50 dollars and you can choose your colours! Whitney Weston will deliver the sleds here sometime in March or early April so the savings on shipping will be huge! So if you are interested please contact KB dog sport equipment or me to take advantage of having a drag sled delivered here to BC! https://www.facebook.com/KB-Dog-Sport-Equipment-101881731903365/

KENNEL ATTENDANT NEEDED (Vancouver area, BC, Canada) Internationally-acclaimed breeder of show and hunting dogs requires full-time (30-40 hours/week) kennel att...endant to look after 20-25 dogs. Previous dog training experience is not necessary. This job requires WALKING, STANDING and BENDING for 6 to 8 hours each shift. Requires ability to lift food bags up to 15 kg (33 pounds) unaided and dogs up to 30 kg (66 pounds) unaided or with another worker. -- Job Tasks -- - Move dogs from kennels to exercise yards and back again; clean and dry dogs. - Supervise dogs outside with a focus on minimizing barking. - Pick up dog feces in the exercise yards and dog runs. - Feed dogs; wash food dishes after meals. - Refill water buckets (indoors and outdoors). - Give medication to dogs as instructed. - Brush and bathe dogs (minimal grooming requirements). - Mop kennels, dog runs, and main centre floor of kennel building. - Do laundry (dog blankets and towels). - Occasionally take dogs to the vet (emergency only). -- Employee Requirements -- Experience with dogs is an asset but not a requirement. All interactions with our dogs will be taught using our own preferred methods. Your personality is much more important to us than your dog experience. Must be able to manage medium to large-sized dogs and to carry out ALL physical requirements of the job. Must be able to work with little to no supervision, learn quickly, and follow instructions accurately with the ability to ask questions to seek clarification. Must be able to get along with co-workers and managers. Must possess driver’s licence and vehicle (in the unlikely case of a dog medical emergency with nobody else on the property). Kennel management will normally deal with vet visits and emergencies. Must be comfortable with dogs being in kennels. This job will involve regularly being around hunting culture, hunting equipment, and the resulting dead animals, so you must be able to deal with that. -- Schedule -- The kennel operates 15 hours per day, 7 days per week with 2 shifts per day (8:00 AM to 2:00/4:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM/10:00 PM). Applicants must commit to working 5 shifts per week according to kennel requirements but open to discussion. -- Wage -- $15 per hour to start, reviewed after 3 months. -- Contact Information -- The kennel is located in the far southeast corner of Surrey and is NOT accessible by public transit. Contact Steve Barker at 604-968-9762 (call or text) or email to [email protected]. Instead of sending a standard resume (CV), please send just a short summary of who you are, anything that you think is relevant about yourself, and why you're interested in this job.

Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions and the high number of cases in our area it would be irresponsible to host an event and chance putting our friends and families in harms way. Thank you all for your continued support and we hope to be back up and running with practices for top dog and weight pull in the new year. Happy Holidays! stay safe, and see you all in the New Year! We will keep you all posted for updates! Feel free to pm the club or Don Stacey Mangat for more info.
Huge thank you to Deborah Robertson ( Kayleigh Robertson’s mom) for coming out and Photographing the dogs at the 49th parallel SDC’s top dog event last month. The shots she got of so many of our dogs are amazing to say the least! To any one wanting these photos Deborah has asked you make a small donation to the 49th parallel sporting dog club. You may also contact her to see if she has other shots of your dogs or if you want a large file so that it can be blown up and used as a large print. Just give her a description of your dog and she may have other images. These are just some of her favourites that she has taken the time to edit. I hope you all enjoy these!

We will be posting up more videos this week. But HAD to share this one of our friends Sandra Mackenzie, and Brent Beaumont’s dog Dakota!!!
