You Are Not Alone. Real talk friends... we all know the toll the pandemic has taken on mental health. According to the Canadian Mental Health Association, the second wave of the pandemic has intensified feelings of stress and anxiety, causing alarming levels of despair, suicidal thoughts, and hopelessness in the Ontario population. This time of year isn’t easy for many to begin with, but this year it feels extra hard. And though there’s hope on the horizon, we’re not through... it yet. We all have our part to play in staying safe and healthy, and that includes taking care of our mental health in new and challenging ways. The good folks at @cmhaww do the hard work to help those in need, and proceeds from this quarter’s Stand For Something Good Beer are dedicated to helping them. In crisis? Call 1-844-HERE-247 About the beer: YANA (You Are Not Alone) is an Appalachian Tart hybrid ale, using a new yeast blend from @whitelabs which consists of a kveik and a strain of lactobacillus. We used 50% wheat, 50% barley for the grain bill then hopped gently with hallertau blanc and sabro. After cold crashing we aged on a gentle amount of Hibiscus flower. The result is lightly tart, with notes of wheat, coconut, tropical fruit, and raspberry jam. ABV 4.5% Take care of yourselves, check in on each other, reach out to those who are vulnerable and who may be struggling. We will get through this stronger together!

Hello Friends, Please read for an important COVID-19 Update: as of midnight tonight, Waterloo Region enters the red zone of the province’s pandemic protocol. Though we technically are able to remain open as a restaurant and bar following the new restrictions, we have made the difficult decision to temporarily close the taproom effective tomorrow. We feel that everyone has to do their part, and this is a small thing that we can do to help stop the spread. ... Our retail shop will remain open 11am to 9pm daily, and we will continue to offer free local delivery 5 days per week on orders over $35 - brought to your door same day if ordered before noon. In addition be bringing back curb side pick up service for online orders. We also will be introducing a take out menu, that will be available Thursday to Sunday. Stay tuned for details on this new service shortly! We can’t tell you how much we’ve appreciated your support during this challenging year. The way communities have rallied around local business has been incredibly heartwarming to see, and we encourage you to continue to do so how and when you can. COVID 19 UPDATE Hello friends - as you may have heard, as of midnight tonight, Waterloo Region will be entering the orange restrict zone of Ontario’s public health pandemic protocol. What does this mean? As of tomorrow, last call for alcohol will be 8:45pm in the taproom, and no alcohol will be sold from our retail shop after 9pm. The taproom will now close at 9pm Fridays and Saturdays. Also, a maximum of 4 people will be allowed per table in the taproom. ... As always, appropriate measures are in place to ensure your safety, as well as that of our team. Guests are required to sign in when entering the taproom, masks are mandatory unless you are seated at your table, and social distancing protocols are in place. September 30th is Orange Shirt Day, when we remember the Indigenous children who were sent away to residential schools in Canada and recognize the harm these schools inflicted on Indigenous communities. We are launching Mango Creamish, our 4th quarter Do Something Good Series brew today to honour these communities. Proceeds from this beer will be donated to Anishnabeg Outreach Employment and Training, an organization that provides Indigenous people with access to culturall...y appropriate services, and strives to support individuals with direction and assistance to overcome barriers. They strive to build processes and tools that will position current and future First Nation, Metis, and Inuit generations as prosperous leaders and strategic partners in Canada’s future.
