The Marystown Santa Claus Parade will go ahead Saturday, December 12 with a slightly modified route and Covid 19 regulations in effect. Route - The parade will ...start at the usual time and location; 11am at Marystown Central High School, turning left on Ville Marie Drive, going all the way to McGettigan Blvd, turning left on McGettigan Blvd and ending at the lights. Floats - Groups, businesses, and organizations are encouraged to enter a float. Please contact Kevin Glavine 277-4675 or Dan Walsh 277-4526. Covid 19 social distancing regulations will apply on floats, therefore it is mandatory that anyone riding on floats must be at least six feet from each other. Viewing - The public is encouraged to view the parade from inside your vehicle at any point along the parade route. The route was adjusted to allow for more parking lots to be available for viewing along McGettigan Blvd as well as the usual locations along Ville Marie Drive. If you live along the parade route, please view the parade from your own front yard. If you must attend the parade as a pedestrian, the wearing of a mask and social distancing are imperative. Please do not gather in one area along the route. IMPORTANT NOTES - 1. There will be no loot bags or treats of any kind handed out during this parade. 2 There will be no gathering of any kind at the end of the parade. When the parade reaches the lights, it will simply disperse and everyone will simply go there on separate ways. 3. We can’t stress enough the importance of staying in your vehicle, or if you must attend the parade as a pedestrian, masks and social distancing are a must. 4. The parade will be live streamed on the Town of Marystown Facebook Page.

Roaming Dogs As per the Town's Dog Regulations, all dogs must be tethered or leashed at all times, unless otherwise permitted (ie., dog park). Residents are asked to immediately report roaming dogs so the Town can properly follow up as the Town cannot act with authority once the dog has returned home. The Town asks that all residents keep their dogs properly tethered or leashed for the safety of the dog and for the safety of residents and other animals.... Residents can register their dogs (and cats) with the Town. Registered dogs will receive a collar tag which will be used to return them to their owners should they become lost. There is no cost to register your dog.

Town Council Meeting

Town of Marystown 10.11.2020

The Town of Marystown has been receiving a large number of calls from residents wondering about the status of the annual Santa Claus parade. This decision was t...o have been made at a meeting this past Monday, however one of the participants of the meeting had a death in the family, which forced postponement of the meeting by one week. We will know if or how we will be proceeding by Monday, November 16. We understand that a Santa Claus parade is important, but we also understand that the health and safety of our residents is more important. We have a lot to consider, but all will be made clear Monday evening. See more
