FRC Team 5428: Breaking Bots

We had a blast competing at the annual FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Ontario District Durham College event! We were surrounded by thousands of innovative competitors along with our mentors, family, friends and fellow robot enthusiasts. In this year's arcade-theme game, teams were seen to play, trapped within an 8bit-video-game world using power cubes to defeat the game’s boss. Competitors demonstrated their exceptional skills and knowledge as they operated five-feet-tall, 120-pound robots they had designed and built in only six weeks. We are so proud of how far our team have come and would like to thank all of the people who have continuously showed support!

This Saturday, we attended the family literacy event hosted by the city of Markham at Aaniin community center! We promoted the importance of STEM by sharing our passion and experiences. We loved interacting with the community and having the opportunity to inspire others! Thank you to Markham Public Library for having us! P.S. We hosted a FIRST LEGO League Regional Qualifying Tournament at Markham District High School on December 9th, 2017. It was great to see how creative and clever the teams were as the completed various challenges with their robot. Thank you to all the competitors, volunteers, teams, coaches, and mentors for attending and making this event a success. Best of luck to all the qualifying teams!
