As some of you may be aware we have been going through change in the downtown ministry these last couple of years and we have reached a new milestone.The 3 existing Corps have now been amalgamated into 1 Ministry Unit under the name of "Downtown East Community Church". This name represents the geographical area as designated by the City of Toronto and is inclusive of the entire downtown community, not just focusing on one part, or one neighbourhood. To this end we have set a Celebration Day to mark the new beginning in this chapter of ministry in the downtown core. On Sunday November 3, 2019 we will be having a Celebratory Service during our regular Sunday morning Worship at Harbourlight starting at 11:00am

TALENT SHOW CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

We have very sad news. Allen Paradis, a long-term member of the Yonge Street Mission and Bridges community, passed away on Thursday morning, April 5. Allen rece...ntly served as our doorkeeper, and worked with our tech team under the leadership of William Elson. Allen will be dearly missed. The funeral for Allen will be this coming Thursday, April 12 at Rosar-Morrison Funeral home, 467 Sherbourne Street. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 AM. The funeral will be at 11 AM. A reception is planned for 1 PM at 61:4 Salvation Army at 77 River St. Please pray for Allen’s family, his fiancée, Karen Sisson, and the Bridges community as they mourn Allen.
