This is my website PSA! For those of you who are trying to DIY, or are thinking of working with a web designer, here is one thing you MUST remember. .... It needs to be easy to navigate & for people to understand. When we do website re-designs the first thing we look at is solving problems for the user. We ask ourselves questions like: What's the easiest way for them to get the information they need? What will help them feel secure in their decision to contact you, or make a purchase? Where are they currently getting confused (dropping off?) These are the questions that take your website from just being pretty to being pretty and functional! Function is SO IMPORTANT! If you're not sure if your website is functional, take it to the person who you know who is the least tech savvy, and get them to test it! This will help you discover some bugs I am sure! PS. We are booking website re-designs into February/March! So if you are interested in being on our client list for February, it's time to reach out: https://705creative.ca/ #redesign #webdevelopment #smallbusiness #creativebiz #creativehappylife #ptbo See more

Yes. We took a pause on social media Some of you may have noticed (or may you haven't) that we've taken a little break. We've been at this business for 4 years (almost 5 now) and we've yet to take many solid, work free breaks. ... It sounds crazy, but we always believed that working vacations would be the way to go. Here's a hint for you ... It's NOT. As much as I love staying in touch with clients where we can, our minds they were ready for a re-set. We needed to focus on self-care. We needed to re-charge so we can serve from a fuller cup. We needed to have a couple of days where we just sit at home in our pj's and digest this new lockdown reality. So if you're entrepreneurs like us, take our advice here when we say breaks are essential! We hope you have an incredible new year & we look forward to sharing all that we have on the horizon for 2021. #FemaleBusinessOwner #WomenInBusiness #ptbo

How do I create BADASS social media content? Psstt. Save this one for later A lot of people ask us how we come up with content ideas ... ... And what kind of content is best to use to sell products or services. So we created the BOSS METHOD to help YOU get writing!! - Brings Value: bringing value means that the content your writing would be helpful to your potential customers. You can use a mind map, or white board to help. Put your ideal customer in the middle. Around them, write questions or problems that they often have. Any answers to these questions or problems will likely be of value to them & you should use that on social media! - On Brand: it's essential to keep your branding in mind when writing. Branding isn't just your logo and images! It comes out in your tone of voice, language you use, and the way to you refer to your customers. Keep everything in line with what your think your ideal clients would respond best to! - SUPER Engaging: What kinds of content is engaging? Here are some quick examples: Tells a story, posts that ask for or give advice, something that speaks directly to customer pain points. - SELLS: A lot of people are afraid to pitch themselves or sell online. Guess what?! Sometimes a sell is a good thing. Selling doesn't have to be scary. Content that sells could be something that explains what services you offer, or a post that shows a testimonial & reminds people how much your products or services helps them! Sell away queens! And there you have it! Our B.O.S.S METHOD for creating content! Let us know if you found this helpful in the comments! We would love to know See more

Here's some things I don't like about Entrepreneur Culture When I first entered the world of entrepreneurship I thought having a successful business meant being busy, working hard, and working a lot. It's called the #hustle for a reason right?! I don't think that's true anymore. I think that constant "hustle" mentality is kind of toxic. ... Why shouldn't having your own business mean having the flexibility to rest & recharge when needed? Or take time off for your mental health? Or just take time off because you want to? I don't think that should be seen as such a negitive thing. SUCESSS & REST can coexist. So if your a business owner and you want to do less, this is us giving you permission to go for it! (not that you need permission, you badass ) Here are some ways you can do that: Outsource your social media management (we can help with that ) Automate some tasks through softwares like @mydubsado and @zapier Schedule & Automate some of your email marketing (Welcome email sequences, happy birthday messages or abandon cart emails) Outsource your website edits All of these tasks aren't huge investments, but can help you take back a HUGE amount of your time. I hope this helped you get some ideas on how you can work smarter & not harder. Send me a DM if you have any more questions about any of this! See more

I had a conversation today in our stories Instagram about Buyers Journey The buyer's journey can be broken up into three distinct stages:... Awareness Consideration Purchase or Conversion A big help in understanding the buyer's journey is using tools on your website that will help you understand how people arrive there & what they do once they get there. This is where Google analytics comes in Google Analytics is an amazing tool that I highly recommend any business owner has on their website. If you've never looked at it before or you've never used it, I'll give you a quick overview: Basically, it offers amazing insight into what people do when they come to your website and where they're coming from. Imagine how awesome it would feel to know that someone reading your blog ended up booking a discovery call! This would be confirmation that the content your producing is working for your business. If you'd like more info about Google analytics feel free to send me a DM. We will be putting out a cheat sheet on this in the near future so keep an eye out for that.

Building a community takes time. Something we tell our clients is that social media is the LONG game, even though it FEELS instant. The best thing you can focus on is to nurture your community. Provide them value, give them your insights, share your secrets (well, not all of them ;))... When you nurture your community, you get to know them and they get to know you. You build TRUST. And more trust = more sales. You don’t need huge numbers to make sales, you just need a small community of engaged people. Tell me: how have you nurtured your community this week?
