Hello 7:22 club members, Firstly, I hope you, your families, and your colleagues are all safe? Please continue to remain vigilant with the physical distancing measures, handwashing, and other basic measure to help prevent transmission of this Coronavirus.... Yesterday, our club executive met, via SKYPE. I wanted to update everyone on the plans for the club over the next little while: 1. Meeting Status - Patty has made the tough decision to suspend all catering and meeting services at the Delta for April and May. As a result, we have decided that meetings scheduled for April and May are officially now cancelled. 2. Making up Meetings / other events - You will be encouraged to conduct a brief survey by email and/or by Facebook regarding possible Summer meetings to make up for some of the lost ones. There may be an option to have 1 or 2 Social type meetings (BBQ etc.) during the summer to replace our traditional breakfast meetings. Andy will be sending out some communication to you all about this. Sharon will also investigate alternative options for meetings. 3. Unpaid member fees - We still have some members who have not yet paid the annual dues. Tyler will be forwarding me a list. If you are one of them, please do get in touch with Tyler to make arrangements. 4. Fees Paid we are hoping that we can make up some of the cancelled meetings in the summer and possibly in December. Let’s see how this goes, and what the response is from the membership around some of the ideas that will be presented. Should there be a credit left over, we would likely prefer to roll that into the following year. However, this will be discussed more thoroughly, at that time. 5. Retired Members The retired members have and continue to be a wonderful part of our club. I have reached out to a number of former members to formally invite them and their interest in participating as a retired member. Currently, our Retired members are on a pay-as-you-go system. This seems to be working out fine. One requirement we would ask of our amazing retired members is to simply confirm attendance to our Membership (Mike & Cheyenne) by Friday prior to the meeting. This way we can ensure accurate counts at breakfast. Under the circumstances this may not actually happen until June anyhow.. 6. Golf update Milt and JR have selected a venue. Milt will communicate some dates along with a poll. It appears that we are looking at August dates, as last year the turn out was fantastic. Milt will keep us posted.
