Musée de l'Holocauste Montréal 27.11.2020

As of December 1, 1936, it became mandatory for all German boys over the age of ten to be part of the Hitler Jugend, the Hitler Youth. The Nazi regime relied heavily on indoctrination to entrench its idelology onto its population to root their ideology. This image of boys, some carrying banners, was taken in 1934 during a Nazi Party rally. Hitler Youth were regularly part of processions during these events because they symbolized the future.
