Hey All, Looking forward to seeing you guys on Wednesday July 12th for an evening of poetry at Summer Sizzler Poetry Reading. here is another fantastic author who'll be reading. Jacob Scheier is a poet, journalist and essayist from Toronto. He is the author of two full length poetry collection with ECW Press: Letter from Brooklyn (2013) and More to Keep us Warm (2007), which won a Governor General's award. He is also the author of The Toronto Star ebook My Never Ending Acid... Trip. His poetry has been nominated for a National Magazine Award and longlisted for the CBC Poetry Prize. He is also the co-winner of a New York Community Alliance Award for best feature article in an independent publication and he recently had an essay published in Brick. He is currently an MFA candidate in creative nonfiction at The Ohio State University, where he is also Associate Nonfiction editor of The Journal. See more

Lisa Young is the author of the poetry collection, When the Earth (Quattro Books) and the chapbook, This Cabin (Lyricalmyrical Press). She is the founding editor of Juniper, an online poetry journal. Her recent publications include poems in Verse-Virtual and Synaeresis.

Hey All, Were are looking forward to seeing you at Summer Sizzler Poetry Reading! Here is another wonderful author who will be featuring at the event, Michelle Alfano. Michelle Alfano is a former Associate Editor with the literary quarterly Descant and the co-organizer of the annual Love Poetry Festival. Her novella, Made Up Of Arias, was the 2010 winner of the Bressani Award for Short Fiction. She is currently at work on two projects: a personal memoir entitled The Unfinished Dollhouse (published by Cormorant Books in the Fall of 2017) and the novel Destiny, think of me while you sleep.
