889 Osprey Royal Canadian Air Cadets 26.03.2021

Welcome back everyone! Tonight is our first parade night of the 2019-2020 cadet year! We look forward to seeing everyone returning and hope to see some new faces! Here is a poster and a few photos to demonstrate some of the activities the cadets had the chance to participate in last year! If you are between the ages of 12 and 18 and are interested in the program, please stop by the Kikinahk tonight at 7:00 PM!

At the beginning of March, our squadron started a band! This is our squadron's first ever band! Most of our cadets have never played an instrument before, and many didn't know how to read music. Even though we were missing many of our band cadets tonight in just two months of practices we accomplished playing Oh Canada! We are so incredibly proud of the cadets' and this accomplishment, their dedication, and hard work! Bravo Zulu! We can't wait to see what the future holds for our band!

Yesterday the cadets participated in the Cadet Fitness Assessment, and ended the night with a fun but competitive game of basketball!

Every couple weeks we have ground school. The last two times we had the opportunity to use our simulator! Thanks to Mr. Arlin Stadnyk for taking us to the Northern Air Operations Tanker Base and giving the cadets a tour of the water bombers. The cadets were even lucky enough to get to watch a plane land, and another take off while hearing the radio calls!

Our squadron started a band in March, and they have been having fun and working hard every week since! Thank you to 107 Spitfire Royal Canadian Air Cadets for lending us instruments to help us get started!
