Tactical CIMIC teams or TCT’s can be tasked to facilitate cooperation amongst multiple actors within the battlespace. Negotiation strategy is essential for TCT’...s to achieve cohesion and synergy between any of these agencies, or to provide freedom of movement or freedom of action for the commander. This week Det Saint John #37IASqn completed the 1st of 9 training sessions last night. Training consists of 15 minutes of theory, 30 minutes of role play competitive negotiation, and 30 minutes of After Action Review (AAR). The scenarios will become progressively more complex, with more variables and more unknowns as the series continues. Training is derived from materials taught at Harvard Law and the text Negotiation Genius. // Les équipes tactiques CIMIC ou TCT peuvent être chargées de faciliter la coopération entre plusieurs acteurs au sein de l'espace de combat. Today is the anniversary of the 1942 Dieppe Raid. Of the 4,963 Canadians who took part in the operation, only 2,210 returned to England, 1,946 were taken prison...er by Nazi Germany, and 916 Canadian’s lost their lives. Following the conflict, a cemetery was created in Dieppe called the ‘Dieppe Canadian War Cemetery’.
