We've started a Block Watch in the 900 block of Habgood Street Our initial outreach to the residents of the 900 block of Habggod St has been met with enthusiasm . Participation is very high. We will be submitting the paperwork to the White Rock Police Department during the week of May 10, 2020. We will post updates about when to expect the Block Watch signs to appear and other updates as soon as they are available! In a block watch we expand that caring attitude to the whole community on our block within the best of our abilities. helps reduce neighbourhood crime and improves police/public relations. Establishes a sense of community and makes our street a better place to live, work and enjoy our lives and our neighbours. A block watch is not does not involve lot of work or meetings does not involve being nosy or intruding on the privacy of others A block watch extra benefits include a large block watch sign at the top and bottom of the block to act as a deterrent and block watch stickers for your windows and doors tips, tools and bulletins from the WR police via your Block Watch captains, to help keep your home and neighbourhood safe a discount on many Home Owner Insurance plans.
