The Support, Protect and Recover from COVID-19 Bill, aka #Bill229 also contained a number of other provisions touching on many unrelated matters. One of those matters is the stripping of powers from Ontario's Conservation Authorities in regards to development. This will have huge repercussions on the way our... communities in #the905 grow and are shaped in the years and decades to come. We wanted to talk to two experts on the matter and what the dangers of going down this road may pose to us in the future. Hassaan Basit is the CEO of Conservation Halton, and Janet Sumner is the Executive Director of CPAWS Wildlands League. Both of them provide their experience and expertise to the matter, and discuss with Roland and Joel what is at stake with this legislation.
