*Long read but worth the knowledge* *TLDR: Fixed another shops mistakes because they were a bit careless/skipped a step* Had the opportunity to help figure out an issue with a customers car that kept pulling RIGHT after they had done TWO Alignments at TWO DIFFERENT SHOPS. ... The TOP PICTURE shows the measurements before I did anything and the BOTTOM PICTURE shows the measurements after I touched it. Yes I know. The rears weren't touched because it was seized (I tried). Moving onto the more important part is the fact that the TOE specs on the BEFORE are in GREEN which means that it should "drive straight" right? Because GREEN is good and RED is bad. Although the specs indicate they are green with the left side at 0.07 toe & the right side at -0.05 toe which can cause STEER AHEAD issues (0.06 in red) due to the fact both wheels are pointing to the right. . So what does this tell me? This tells me that the person that did the Alignment before me. A) Didn't center the steering wheel to begin with or didn't center it after the car was raised. B) Didn't bother matching both sides for TOE. Left it in the green and called it a day. . What did we do? A) Center the steering wheel B) Match BOTH TOE specs to 0.01 C) Re-Calibrate the Steering wheel or "VDS" light as some people know it by with our Hunter Hawkeye Elite It's the simple things like this that are often forgotten that make a big difference causing headaches but it also helps when you have access to great equipment from @hunterengineering . Not sure how much this customer paid for their 2 Alignments in total.
