UPDATE....EMMA HAS BEEN ADOPTED!Thanks to all those who expressed interest and concern for Emma.... A SPECIAL HOME NEEDED FOR A SPECIAL GIRL.... this is Emma....she was a stray that a kind lady kept feeding and finally was able to live trap her and show her not all people are bad. Emma needs to be rehomed to someone who preferably has no other cats or perhaps a gentle dog...you see Emma is blind and we are unsure how much she sees and how she became this way. Her home now has other kitties that dont really like her. She is approx 6 yrs old and a real love bug...not fond of being picked up but loves to knead and purr. Emma is fully vetted and in great health otherwise. Anyone interested that could provide a loving, stable home for Emma can contact 9 Lives directly.

Looking for barn cats...we have 2 bonded ferals that need a barn together...they will need a space to climatize for at least 2 weeks at their new home and continue to be feed even though they will be mousing. We received a call from a lady who is ill and selling her home.She has 3 feral barn cats to rehome.If interested call 902-644-3479. 2 are fixed and 9 lives will fix the other.

UPDATE...2 FEMALE BARN CATS LEFT...ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A BARN CAT or have the time and patience to work with one of the less ferals as a house pet? You must be able to give these cats a good home and be able to keep them in an enclosed safe area in your barn for a minimum of 2 weeks for them to climatise and become familar with their new home. Adoption fees will be waived. Neutered/spayed cats. All have been tested for feline leukemia and are negative. Would do best in a barn... environment, or some could be house cats with time and patience. This is a feral colony that we trapped due to a caretaker passing away. Cats would do best being adopted in a group or pairs. We have: 1 female calico. 5 females, black and white varying combinations. 3 males, all black bodies with tiny white spots on chests. We want to sincerely thank Gayla Ross for choosing 9 Lives as the recepient of the Haley Wheaton Memorial Golf Tournament held at Minas View Golf Course...it was a reat success and a beautiful day! Sadly Greg's daughter and Gaylas step daughter Haley passed away 6 years ago and her love of animals started this memorial tournament. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need drivers again to take the cats to Eastern Passage to be fixed and neutered. We take 6 cats in carriers...you just need to unload the carriers in Eastern Passage. If interested please contact us...you can either do the morning run from Falmouth at 7am to Eastern Passage or the afternoon one around 3pm to pick the cats up from Eastern Passage to Falmouth We would hate to have to cancel appointments because of this as there is such a great need to have cats neutered and spayed to control the population..

We wanted our group to see what goes on at Bide Awhile...a nice peaceful cage free environment...did you know they started in 1969???

This is disturbing but very important information...

We are greatful yet again for being the receipient of the Canfel grant made possible by the late Sandra Bond, whos life quest was the humane treatment of animals. Although we had never met Sandra, we will spend these funds wisely in her honour to do the most for as many cats as possible....

Coras lucky enough to live indoors with a full belly and a heated resting spot...that's not the case for a feral cat. We are looking for donations of soft and hard cat food so we can have a stock pile before winter for the ferals. If you can help out send us a PM and we will arrange drop off or pick up....thanks!

We are overwhelmed by their kindness! Just showing what big hearts they have...we presented 9-Lives Cat Rescue NS with the #HometownHero recognition yesterday. ...And today, Margo drops off fresh muffins, jam, and a thank you card for the staff. It was our pleasure to recognize the great work you do for feral & homeless cats in the valley, you ladies are the best! The smell coming from the muffins could be smelled around the whole building.
