The Toddlers at ACW John Brant had a Cuddle up and Read day. It was a great way to spend time on a cold day.

The preschoolers at ACW John Brant recognized shapes in their playground. They found circles, triangles, rectangles and squares!

The school-agers at ACW John Brant sent Christmas Cards to some of the clients of Community Living and received a wonderful response!!

At ACW Ross, Emma Rose decided to see how long the table was while waiting to go to school this morning. It took her 53 of the connecting shapes to measure the table length.

ACW-Ross preschoolers participated in a candy cane experiment using water and a candy cane. They predicted what would happen to the candy cane in the water then observed the outcome. It's a great activity to do at home with your child(ren).

A Child's World has come together to support Gillian's Place this year. A Child’s World understands that everyone is dealing with the current pressures because of COVID-19. Many times our child care centres individually support different organizations throughout our community. In past years some of our centres have organized food drives, hats & mitten trees etc. As this year families are unable to enter into our child care locations, as well we are limited by Public Health as to what can stay in the centres; A Child’s World invites you to join our organization in supporting Gillian’s Place for this year’s holiday season. At ACW Twenty Valley, a toy got stuck way up in a tree. The solution from a few schoolagers was to launch a soccer ball or a football into the tree to knock it down. This attracted quite a few others to give it their best attempt to free the toy. After about 15 attempts, the toy was dislodged and freed.

The kinder group at ACW-Woodlawn made a very nice bulletin board for National Children’s Day. The school age group worked very hard decorating pictures of themselves. They did an amazing job for everyone to see!

For National Childs Day on Friday Nov 20th, Educator’s Leah and Adrienne made blue ribbons for the children in the School age and Kinder groups and for all the centre Educators.

The Dragonfly Preschool friends at ACW Tiny Travellers were interested this morning with letters. While engaged in play, the children initiated learning with Mrs. H, desiring to spell letters using our painted road blocks and magnets. It is wonderful to see the children learning and accomplishing their goals while playing! Can you spot the letters?
