Camp Evergreen here we come!! Another July, another successful BBQ fundraiser; thanks to the generosity of the following businesses: Red Deer CO OP, Superstore,... IGA, M&M Meat, Save On Food, Wholesale Club and ATCO. Because of their support, A Gathering Place members would participate once again in this year's camping at Camp Evergreen in Sundre. AGP is looking forward to its joint picnic with Wetaskiwin and Ponoka Clubhouses at Kin Canyon rec. park, Red Deer; Friday August 25th. It's shaping to be a fun-filled day. Members would be treated to a free BBQ, plus other edibles . Various choices of games selected by each Clubhouse would make sure that every member and staff are kept active all day.

Again, commending AGP members for supporting the Red Deer Food Bank this past Christmas with a donation of $200. Keep it up guys. You're making a difference in your community.

A Gathering Place BBQ fundraiser event is on July 20 (same day as the Westerner Day parade). Once again, AGP is counting on the kind support of businesses and the people of Red Deer during this annual fundraising event. Your encouragement is needed in the form of supporting the organization's fundraising effort on the event day (see poster below). The proceed from the event would go towards supporting members' (adult individuals with mental health challenges) social activities. See you there!
