Well, here we are April 13, 2019. Not too many days left until the April 30 tax deadline. We are going full steam here, but have room for the stragglers, so don't put it off any longer! Proprietorships, your returns are due June 15, but your taxes are due April 30.

The pile of tax papers that you have collected over the last few months should be about ready to be processed. Before Spring really starts to show its warmth and causes our attention to focus on the outdoors, it would be a good time to have your 2018 tax returns filed and out of the way. We are here to help.

Happy Easter! Historically people start preparing their papers for tax filing over the Easter weekend. Last year Easter Sunday was on March 27 however, this year it is almost 3 weeks later. Not much time until the April 30 filing deadline. If you need assistance, we are here and ready to help!

Well another year gone by. 2016 taxes are due April 30. One big change is disclosure of sale from principal residence.

Due date for personal tax returns is looming, April 30 is a little less than 4 weeks away! The staff here are working hard processing personal tax returns, still time to bring yours in!

2016 Federal Budget Highlights 1) 1.5% drop in tax rate on income between $45K to $90K 2) 4% increase in tax rate on income over $200K... 3) Child Tax Benefit - up to $30K family income for maximum benefit, clawed back on family income over $30K. Age group applies. $6400 per child under age 6, and $5400 per child beween age 6 and 17. Amounts recieved will be tax free. 4) Income splitting for couples with children under 18, will be eliminated. 5) Child Fitness and Child Art Credits will be phased out over two years. 6) Education and textbook credit eliminated January 2017. The federal government has also proposed to increase funding for education grants, and restructuring the unemployment insurance program.
