How strong is the cord (etheric connection) between a mother and child? VERY. And today was a reminder of it. When the kids were little, we would leave them in great trusted care and they would invariably fall sick when we left. Dad travels and nothing phases them. As I decided to take a trip without them today, they both fell sick at the drop of a hat. From nothing to coughs and sneezes and stomach aches. Do I feel bad about being a bad mom and leaving them behind or feel blessed and loved to be connected to two beautiful souls that reside outside of me but are a part of me - always. Since Gr1 I was groomed to be better than the rest because that’s what would get me further in life. Fast forward a few years and I am in a place where I realize that all I needed to be was better than what I was the previous day and I would still get to where I wanted to be, because the number of seats for good/ successful people is not capped. There is enough room for me in there. So..... I am in competition with no one, I am not trying to play that game. I am simply trying to be a better person than I was yesterday. Who’s in?

Whenever we think of helping someone it often entails us having given advice on something that we believe helped the other person, cause whenever a vulnerable person opens up to us, we feel empowered and jump to a spot of superiority and start giving advice. Ever thought that maybe all the person needed was for us to listen to them? Try it. My husband is a great listener and I find that when I start talking to him, I often resolve my worries/ problems myself. All I needed was a ear. Lend your ear to someone and keep your advice until they ask you for it. They will love you for it.
