Oh my goodness!! I am so, so excited!! I won a photo contest and it means the world to me! It's nice to be chosen, but it's so exciting that my personal project, that means so much to me, also moved other people as well. I think maintaining a long marriage is hard, hard work and it should be honoured. The photographer has captured wonderful moments that look natural and unscripted. It is always a choice when shooting any photograph as to which image to select from the multiple frames. I think what appeals to me most is that selection, those candid moments, the difference between one shutter click & the next and the combined story that these images tell. So, after much deliberation & finally gut instinct, I’m going with the Wisdom of Marriage. ******* So, a massive congratulations to everyone who submitted.but a special nod to our final three and to the ultimate Grande Prize winner, Jodi Sware. Jodi, you should be so proud of yourself. This community has some of the most talented photographers in Canada, and what you put forth was truly a special body of work.

Some of my favourite black ad white images of the flora in my yard. During all the time at home, especially this spring, going out to take photos around my yard took my mind of all of the uncertainty. I find photography is the best way for me to just be present in the moment. I don't worry about anything while I am taking photos.
