There is a wall people tend to hit a few months in or so when it comes to their fitness journey. People tend to give up because of a combination of their life circumstances and also realizing that putting time and effort into working out is harder than they thought. So they quit. But what you should realize is, anything you do takes time and effort. And in order to see results in anything, you have to be willing to do it even if you don't like it or the difficulty. It's simpl...e as that. Because as soon as you give up then you permanently fail. Besides my fitness business, I am a writer. I love writing sci-fi and self help and turning words into a creative story. But I despise editing. I hate it. But because they go hand in hand with one another I needed to get better at it. And over time I have gotten better. But I'm still not where I should be. And it's the same for alot of people who hate working out. I get it. You don't like it because its hard. I'v trained enough clients to know this lol. But you have to keep consistent at it if you want results. And If you do, I can almost guarantee you that you'll not only keep growing but you'll gain a new found respect for the hard work you put in. Just like how i'v come to that conclusion for editing. Swimming hands down is the best form of cardio there is in my opinion. The fact that you are constantly moving is proof enough that you'll gain the most amount or caloire loss doing it. Any form of cardio is great but because you have all four limbs moving at once causes alot of movement. And when your constantly moving you of course burn more caloires. And when your constantly moving while adding intensity then you burn even more. And for most people, swimming can get pretty... intense. If you have ever tried to do laps for the length of a swimming pool then you'll know how fast your heart is beating right after. The resistance of the water plus the movement makes for a great session. The the best part of it is that swimming is very low impact. There is virtually none whatsoever. Unless you have issue with moving your limbs, there is no impact at all so its great for people who have any form of arthritis. If you can and are able to, I'd add in swimming into your cardio regimen and utilise then I would do so. You'll only get good results from it and make your heart healthier snd stronger. Whatever road or type of fitness exercises or routes you decide to do, you can see results doing any of them. If it's calisthenics, bodybuilding, strength lifting, crossfit, whatever, you can see results with any of them. Now what results you want is a bit of a different story. But building muscle and loss of weight can be achieved through any of them. In my opinion, doing body building should be a must for anyone because you really get to understand how each muscle group per...forms properly. But you don't have to go that route. Just make sure with whatever you do you understand the exercises and learn to execute them properly. How you perform them with good form matters alot. How they are executed will determine, along with your nutrition, down the line of what results you will get from the exercises you engage in. Standing torso twists. Not something you see often at all. And can be a little harder to engage if you can't flex your abdominls properly.... But it's an exercise I have always liked doing. And would generally do near the end of my workout. Just remember to flex your abdominals, and twist each side. And as I do in the video, re-contrsct your abdominals to help keep them contracted. There comes a point when you have to take a second to relax from training. Even saying that bothers me but it's the truth. You can't always be balls to the wall about it. And everyone's limit is different but rest sometimes is needed. I workout 7 days a week and generally take a break evey second sunday. Some people think that's excessive. But I have built myself up to that point over a period of some years. But I thoroughly enjoy it and would feel as if something is missing ...if I don't workout. Even going that many days in a row, I still feel great and don't get injured. But even I know myself that I have to give my body a full body rest at some point. Between daily tasks and then through lifting weights and cardio, your body will eventually break down. So listen to your body. Of course keep progressively getting stronger but when it's telling you to do so, take a break. And I'm not talking about being lazy and not feel like going to workout. I'm saying after working out a number of days in a row and you are needing to relax your muscles and joints. Recovery is also a big part of growth Don't forget to check out my other social media handles for other tips like this, and also download my free playbook in my description!
