In the interest of the health and safety of our team members, clients and the public, we have made the decision to temporarily close our office until further notice. This decision was made notwithstanding our status as an essential service as designated by the government of Ontario. All team members will be working remotely from their home. Any client interaction will be through emails, phone calls or online meeting tools. Following are the options to send us the information...: 1. You can share your info to us if you are using Dropbox, Google Drive, One Drive or any other file storage service. 2. You can take pictures and email to [email protected] 3. You can fax to (416) 352-1274 Emergency Care Benefit (ECB) and Emergency Support Benefit (ECF) ECB and ECF will be administered through CRA My Account so if you don’t have access to it already, please sign up for one ASAP. You can sign up using your online banking credentials and you will need a copy of your 2018 tax return as it will request info from that return during the sign-up process. For employees that were laid off and issued a ROE, you can apply for EI benefits directly through Service Canada. For self-employed individuals, you will have to apply for the ECB or ESB benefits. This application process is supposed to start in April. Once this is released you will apply for these benefits using CRA's My Account and you will have to do an online attestation every 2 weeks to keep collecting the benefits. You may have heard that CRA has a lot of uncashed cheques. If you sign up for CRA My Account, you can see if there are any uncashed cheques owing to you. You can also sign up for direct deposit so collect your funds faster.
