To say it's been a lot of work & tireless effort behind the scenes for ALL might be an understatement...and we made it happen! Here is the 1st group at the Evinrude for the 1st practice of the 2020 AAA Petes Skills Development Season! Here's hoping for a smooth season for all our groups ~ and a safe one too!... Thanks to everyone for taking the the extra steps required to make this work, on behalf of the Peterborough Minor Petes and our amazing Covid Team: Trish, Theresa & Kateri

The Ontario Hockey Federation released new information yesterday and you may have seen this article posted in local media. Our Organization and volunteers are closely following these directives and working hard to ensure a safe return to hockey development for all our players, coaches and families. https://www.thepeterboroughexaminer.com//no-return-to-norm
This is good, but there’s no hockey in it. Maybe proof that in no other sport does the athlete move like a hockey player does-?! We look forward to seeing your moves again very soon! https://youtu.be/WA4dDs0T7sM

The OMHA issued the following statement this evening (at 8:00 PM). The season is suspended indefinitely. Notably, the season is not cancelled outright at this time, but there will be no hockey this weekend or until further notice. https://peterboroughminorpetes.ca//OMHA_Suspends_Hockey_I/
Tonight City Council confirmed the decision to close Northcrest arena this spring. Regardless where you stood in that decision, as arena users we are all in the same boat and now we are all going to be short another ice surface starting in just a few short weeks. We’re working on ways we can help the city make a new twin pad arena happen sooner - more details to come. But for now, more than ever, we need our hockey families to pressure our city council into making a commitment to build a new twin pad arena as quickly as possible and regardless of provincial funding. It needs to happen. We need to unite our voices and our efforts to make it happen ASAP. It’s overdue, and there’s no time left for excuses why it can’t be done because we believe it’s an investment worth making.
Great to see a neighbor recognized for his great contributions to our kids and our game! Congratulations Matt!
Our players and coaches have represented us very well this season! We're very proud of their efforts and we wish them all the best going into the playdowns. Parents are also reminded to always be a reflection of the pride and integrity you see from our young athletes, and that includes respecting our officials at all times. GO PETES GO!
Our organization echoes Stacey’s comments. We hope the The City of Peterborough along with help from Dave Smith and Maryam Monsef that we can #KeepNorthcrestOpen until we can get a new twin pad built ASAP!!!
Excellent news - and thank you to our Council Members for The City of Peterborough! We look forward to working with you on this! In the meantime we also hope for good news regarding the new twin pad arena plan from Dave Smith and Maryam Monsef offices!
