How exciting, the Lake Country Community Fridge (https://www.facebook.com/lccfridge) is now OPEN! It's located at Winfield United Church (3751 Woodsdale Rd) on the west-facing side of the building. We encourage those facing food insecurity to visit regularly!

Many people don't realize it, but AAFO helps with so much more than food. Medical needs, fuel, heating, electricity, clothing, shoes, special diets, suicide watches, helping seniors, fixing furnaces, ..you name it, we pretty much do it. We also have 4 freezers, 3 fridges, rent a sea can. Although we have ( at the moment), less operating costs than larger organizations, we still do have operating costs. We often fund things right out of our own pockets. But like any organiz...ation involved in helping others, we need to help ourselves in order to keep operating. If you can make a donation...OR, if you are someone who is creative, energetic, and enjoys helping people..we would love to have someone..or a few someones.. run a couple of fundraisers! We are eager and willing to look at any ideas you might have.! If you have a connection with a business, run a business, make a product, like going door to door, bake cookies..whatever idea you have that you would be willing to do some fundraising, AND help so many people in need ( Just check out our page to see what we do).
