July 24, 2020 The COVID committee is dedicated to working toward a SAFE 2020 Region 17 Arabian and Half Arabian/Anglo-Arabian Horse Show. Everyone is VERY EXCITED to come together and show their beautiful horses this year. We hope to make that a reality! We are awaiting approval from the provincial government to host this show. R17 has been APPROVED by AHS!! With the caution that this approval is fluid. IF our covid numbers worsen to the point that further restrictions are necessary, this could impact the Show proceeding in September. The AHS Public Health Inspector has reviewed our documents and strategies to date and feels we are compliant with current government guidance. ... Next step is a facility tour with him, some Covid Crew Volunteers, Show Chair Darlene Brouwer and Westerner staff. That is scheduled for Aug 7. PLEASE submit your entries for Aug 5! Be vigilant in following current precautions and we hope to see you at the 2020 Region 17 Arabian Horse Show!

Meadow Lane Equine Clinic & Dr. William (Billy) Hodge All Arabians Horse Association has received a generous donation on behalf of local veterinarian, Dr. Hodge. Dr. Hodge, provided Equine First Aid education for the staff of Serenity Farms in Langley.... The interactive session was well presented and suited to stable workers, horse owners and trainers, alike. Thank you for giving back to the horse community, Billy! See more

The AAHABC Directors are sad to announce that the Fall Frolic will be cancelled. BC Government Covid rules do not allow any gatherings over 50 people for the purpose of a competition. Very strict EC Covid rules mandate that we follow our provincial guidelines. As such we can not hold an EC sanctioned event of any sort. This ends us running a show without even trying to overcome all the other issues, we would be simply be renting the facility for people to ride at scheduled times following Fraser Health protocols. We would all loved to have held the Frolic and thank you to all those who offered to volunteer but we are unable to run a show until government regulations change.
