Good morning, Here’s a little blurb from Peterson Fluid Systems regarding the dry sump pump from Aaron’s truck. For those that don’t know, Aaron built a 7.3L Powerstroke engine for his truck and literally pulled out all the stops while doing so. One of the interesting things he added to the engine was a dry sump oil system using Peterson Fluid System components. This was going to be a daily driver set up and had not yet been done for this engine platform so longevity of the ...pump in this application was questionable. Well caution was thrown to the wind and the set up was given its chance. Now nearly four years of driving (at the time the pump was pulled) on the clock and the pump was removed from service for inspection and R&D data collection. The pump was sent off and just yesterday word was given regarding it. After roughly 38,000 miles, the pump was found to have ZERO signs of wear or damage to any internal components. Might not sound too impressive until you find out the gears and pump casings are made from billet aluminum, not a hardened steel. All in all the oil pump has performed and surpassed all expectations since it was first installed. The engineering, product quality and attention to detail when assembling was key to its long lived life. The original pump will soon be returning back to APSI un-modified and still using original components from the original build from Peterson Fluid Systems. This is such a badass truck. I was able to see it up close and personal at SEMA 2017. Beautiful machine with unbelievable attention to detail.

I wouldn’t know what to do if my car made that noise when I hit the key. Actually I would probably die laughing, either that or kill the battery trying to show friends the sounds this thing makes.

Wow, what mass of power in a small package. Beautiful quality of work.

Now that has to say something about the power available to the Pete. That would be some fun to drive.
