Spoke directly to them throughout the video Identified and addressed pain points while creating a friendly and understanding environment with a clear call to action, to invite and welcome you as a new patient These are all practices that I encourage from, and help create for, my clients during our strategy building sessions! I like making people happy. & I have always told those in my life that they can come to me any time they need help. The problem with that is I became a bit of a "Yes" girl.... I would say yes to anything if I thought it would help someone out. The problem with saying "Yes!" to everything is that, eventually, overwhelm would set in. Things would start slipping, and I would end up disappointing everyone. It became a vicious cycle that would take a major toll on my mental health. So when I heard this quote, "If it's not a FUCK YES, it's a NO", on a podcast episode by @msrachelhollis it completely changed my outlook, and encouraged me to prioritize the commitments I was making. This quote gave me permission to say "No" to things that do not align with my business or personal goals. - Is there a potential client that you are humming and hawing over onboarding, but you know they aren't your ideal client? Is there a friend who is begging you to spend your savings to go to a music festival this summer? I'm here to give you permission to say NO! (Unless you want to go to that music festival too - then heck YES! have a killer time). There is a common misconception that simply hopping on social media and posting a few photos will automatically lead to an increase in customers and client numbers. Well you guys, I got stung. I entered a business relationship with someone I knew well, skipped over the formalities of a contract, and I got burned. I see it all the time, young solopreneurs and contractors being taken advantage of, their hard work going unrewarded because they did not arm themselves with a signed contract. ... If you have found yourself in a similar situation, please give yourself permission to work through all the feelings (I certainly had to), learn, and then move forward.
