New and free! Come explore Motto, a playful ghost story brought to life by the one-of-a-kind way you see the world. Discover on your phone at www.motto.io Created by Vincent Morisset, Sean Michaels, Édouard Lanctôt-Benoit and Caroline Robert. Developed by the studio AATOAA. Produced by the National Film Board of Canada (NFB).
See more
Vast Body 22 won the Doclab Award for Immersive Non-Fiction at IDFA Festival in Amsterdam. Here is the speech from the jury: "To move, to dance, to flow, to see ourselves, but most of all, to see others. Finding empathy in a digital mirror, playful and embodied, becoming one with so many. We sometimes forget to do so in our selfie times, but it is exactly that which we need to re-establish and to become team human again. Honest and full of joy, this project shows us how. The creator, the dancers, and you make the tech disappear."

What is interactive direction? For Studio AATOAA founder Vincent Morisset, "It's never the technology and it's never even a story. It starts as a feeling that I want people to have."
AATOAA produced the video for the International Danse Day with Louise Lecavalier. For the occasion, Louise invited her friends to danse with our artificial intelligence installation, Vast Body.
Last call for all the lazy bums out there: The absolutely beautiful @vincentmorisset exhibition is closing in a few days! https://muda.co/vincentmorisset
We have a new project!! It's an ongoing experiment on movement with extraordinary people. It's called Vast Body. Our collaborators were invited to imagine and e...mbody, in front of a camera, a wide spectrum of postures that Vast Body’s artificial neural network can see and understand. In the installation, the alter ego continuously tries to replicate the upper-body movements of the visitor facing it. Vast Body performs its own interpretation of the visitors’ behaviours. Featuring Louise Lecavalier, Rachel Harris and Caroline Robert. Choreography: Kathy Casey, Louise Lecavalier, France Bruyère, Caroline Robert (and you). Creative coding and machine learning: Édouard Lanctôt-Benoit. Camera and grading: Thierry Sirois (Casadel Films) Production manager: David Francke-Robitaille (Casadel Films). A special thanks to Jean-Philippe Côté and Cégep Édouard-Montpetit. Direction: Vincent Morisset. Production: AATOAA. #vastbody See more
Last week, it was the opening of my exhibition in Zurich. Caroline, Édouard and I revisited our work from the last decade. It was a delight to watch the visitors engaging with the installations. We also presented something new... More soon!

Bridge Bench is Saint-Laurent Boulevard's evolution made manifest, as well as an expression of the chance encounters between regulars, skaters, and passersby ...that take place at Place de la Paix. At night, by sitting on this long bench with colourful lines, visitors become converging and diverging forces, transforming the interactive projection's imaginary tectonic plates. Caroline Robert and Vincent Morisset have created a catalyst, where destruction and creation constantly crash up against each other. See more
