Today we celebrate the life of Rio the Shetland Sheepdog. Losing part of our Pack is always hard, but this time it seems a little harder, probably because of the stress of everything going on in the world right now. Rio was a tough nut to crack at first. He took 9 months to really connect with me, which is quite long. Every dog is different, and this little pupper was very much his own self, and he went at his own pace.... He *loved* to chase after the dogs that were chasing balls, and I'll never forget the look on his face the first time he picked up the wet, warm, dirty tennis ball one of his friends had been chasing. Oh it was priceless! He spit it out immediately, and looked me as if to ask, "Why??" I laughed so hard my belly hurt for the rest of the afternoon (after giving him hugs, of course). He had a quirky thing for ripping wool blankets and Shammeez. Why? I have no clue, but he was super sneaky about it, hiding behind other dogs to do it in the back of the van. Little monkey! He had a special dude bond with Phoenix, often sharing floor space and touching each other when he would come to stay. And he loved Music's harrassment when she would pull him over, or bite his elbows. There were so many hours of joy watching him with Music and his dog friends. I am glad he was my friend too.

Hi everyone I won't be doing a live feed again today. I found out a few days ago that one of my dog friends has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. I'm taking a few days to put some of my favourite images and videos together to celebrate his life with The Pack and I, and I'll post another video when it's ready. Sending out extra big hugs to all my furry friends today.
