From our friends AT SARA For Women "Today is #PersonsDay in Canada. Until October 18, 1929, women were not legally recognized as "persons." The amendment to include women as persons paved the way for women's increased participation in public and political life. It's World Mental Health Day. Just as there should be no shame surrounding physical health issues, there should be none with mental health, either. Need to talk? 310-6789 for individuals who would like emotional support, information and resources ... 1-800-suicide (1-800-784-2433) for individuals who are or know of someone who is having thoughts of suicide.

There are a few vaccine adverse reaction sites on the internet that are NOT connected to the medical community in any way. While these sites are dangerous for those who do not know how to identify them, they do contain some hilarious anecdotes.
When looking at the per 100k rates, we can see how troubling the low number of new cases in small populations can be. Thanks to the Fraser Valley Current for helping to put our current situation into perspective.
Do you need a first or second vaccine? These upcoming drop in vaccine clinics do not require an appointment.

B.C.'s vaccine card has officially launched. Click through the album for some facts about it that you might not know. You'll need the card to attend non-e...ssential businesses and events in B.C. starting Sept. 13, including restaurants, theatres and sports venues. "We have put the vaccine card in place to keep businesses open and to keep people working and to keep people safe," said Dr. Bonnie Henry, B.C.’s provincial health officer. An online portal has launched that allows residents to obtain their proof of COVID-19 vaccination in either digital or hard-copy format. The card will not be required at grocery stores and other retail settings that haven't seen high levels of transmission. It also won't be necessary to access health services, enter a place of worship or vote in the upcoming federal election. More: www.cbc.ca/1.6166970
