This is super interesting.... I have struggled to become vegan in the last couple of years (for the planet and cruelty) and it has resulted in me gaining 20 lbs... and suffering with inflammation and pain, so now I am back to a low carb, high protein, low processed diet which honestly makes my body sing and my mind clear and focused, my joints hurt less... but I am staying away from beef. This chart pretty much sums it up. If you could make one personal choice for the planet, this one is straight forward. See more

Cooking is woman's, mans most essential occupation its what makes us human.
For all to reason. "Food" it's not for one culture or race to own? We are all from one ! One from all !
We've spent spent the summer with our noses buried in books that explore how we can build a healthier and more equitable society, and the role of food in that equation. We rounded up some of our favourites in a Books with Bite list. Dig in! https://buff.ly/2Pg4u8t #summerreads

Your gift of any amount will be put immediately towards growing and supporting Slow Food projects around the GTA. Your support will help us: - Preserve threat...ened foods and biodiversity through our projects that provide direct support to small-scale producers. - Empower food communities in the Terra Madre network through the coordination of local meetings; providing a chance for discussion, knowledge sharing, inter-generational exchange and community building. Fund food education projects, school gardens and other initiatives with schools and communities to increase understanding of the important connection between health, local food culture, agriculture and the environment. Loved It !! for simplicity and because many variations popped up in my mind. Versatile ! so many options on veges, seafood, and carbs possible.
..... more and more foods I grew up eating getting the title "Superfoods" in the west. When do I see the cuisine as a whole at school lunches, food pyramids, dietitian advisory?... why serve a half baked .......
Watch !! Respect be kind to your body
Did you know that the Slow Food Ark of Taste is a Slow Food initiative that catalogues foods at risk of disappearing? The purpose of the Ark of Taste is to poin...t out the existence of these products, draw attention to the risk of their extinction and invite everyone to take action to help protect them by seeking them out, buying and consuming them, telling their story, supporting their producers and in some cases promoting their conservation and reproduction. Slow Food Ark of Taste Canada has made items such as Red Fife wheat, Saskatoon berries, Okanagan sockeye salmon and the Tamworth pig become official Ark of Taste products. What product would you like to see on the Ark of Taste? http://arkoftaste.slowfood.ca
