If you get stuck or stranded stay with your vehicle call for help . Low visibility makes highway travel dangerous so please light on daytime running lights will not turn on your running lights . If you don’t have to travel stay home and stay safe .

The Calgary police service had a member killed last night in the line of duty . The flags at the hall will be flown at half mast until the funeral. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time .He gave everything in service.

For the month of December our membership is participating in a burpee challenge. Here is three of our members doing their burpees in full gear with scba. Fitness is a huge part of being able to meet the demands of the job and this is one way we make it fun and build team spirit .

Be careful with any burning you are doing and make sure your not discarding any cigarettes out your window it’s also an offence under the traffic safety act .

Aberdeen fire was called to a two vehicle accident on hwy 5 in the construction zone last night . Please be extra careful when travelling at night and pay attention to you surroundings as road conditions can change fast and visibility is limited . Back in service at 330am .

As one may or may not have noticed, Highway 41 has become much busier. This is due to major highway construction on Highway 5, by widening, adding shoulders, and making passing lanes on parts of the highway up to Humboldt. This is expected to take two years or longer before traffic will lighten up on 41. Hopefully this will make Highway 5 a safer highway to travel and lessen MVC calls that many departments service. A BIG thanks to Maggie Procyshyn for the donation made to the Fire Department and First Responders. Maggie made 447 COVID-19 masks that were sold in Saskatchewan and some even made it to the Western Provinces. Thanks to ALL that supported the cause. Remember handwashing, disinfecting, and keep social distancing. Thanks Maggie " Hero's come from everywhere in our community"

Well one last run it’s been amazing to see the smiles and joy in the people’s faces but all good things must eventually come to an end . We will be suspending our birthday deliveries as of today due to the season being a busy one for our members and the relaxing of the rules concerning gatherings . We can’t thank the community enough for allowing us to participate in your special day !!

Flags at the hall will be at half mast to honor the snowbird member who lost her life . There are many ways to give service to your community and your country. She gave hers trying to boost our moral in these difficult times . We remember her .

This faceless individual is a member of your community. They have a job, family and friends just like you . When the call goes out they often leave everything to help another . We are so grateful for all the support we get from our community that allows us to do what we do . Thank you to the brave men and women who do this !!!

Grass fire tonight thank you to everyone that pulled to the right for our vehicles . A reminder grass fire season is here so pay close attention to your fires .

In honour of the ultimate sacrifice made by Cst. Heidi Stevenson the flag at the hall will be at half mast . She selflessly gave everything in service to her community and country. We honor her an we will remember.
