Like the handshake, many business practices have gone by the wayside in light of our current situation. What about presenting business cards? According to Pamela Eyring from the Protocol School of Washington, don’t get rid of them. Communication still needs to happen. Much of our communication takes place on line. One suggestion is to ensure your electronic signature block contains necessary contact information and is consistent across all devices. As for business cards, the day will come again when they will be used. Eyring suggests keeping your cards in a small case - not only will it preserve their shape, but it will keep them clean should you choose to present yours.
