Surround yourself with those who only lift you higher. Oprah Winfrey - When I started this business, I had no way of knowing just how much this team would mean to me. Not from a business perspective, but from an emotional, mental, and physical perspective. - I’ve cried during workouts in the last ~10 years more than I’d care to admit, and not in a good way. I’ve pushed my body and mind to breaking points that were unhealthy and completely out of line with who I am as a per...son and the emotional state I was during those times. I’ve felt exhausted, burned out, frustrated, and out of place. - Now, every single morning, I get to wake up and work out with the most amazing group of likeminded humans... we are totally free to be ourselves, turn off our cameras if we want, lie on the floor, change every single movement and rep scheme, cry, laugh, and be as ridiculous as we feel WHILE WORKING OUT - A couple weekends ago we went for a social distanced hike on our rest day to meet in person for the first time, and I just want to scream from the rooftops how grateful I am for this group of humans. I’m back on social media, and with a fire lit under my ass to talk about self-love through fitness. The last few weeks have been filled with massive self-doubt, grief, pain, and sadness for me... and I’ve started to find my way back to the mental strength, power, and self-love I have worked so hard to build - More isn’t always better. Faster, heavier, longer isn’t always right for you. I want to be honest here: I have no idea how to address this. I’ve been debating whether it even needs to be addressed, but the truth is it feels most in line with myself to communicate clearly and then move forward. - Chippy and I are no longer together. That’s also all I’m going to say about that on social media. Unexpected things happen, and no matter how gut-wrenching they may seem in the moment, I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason. I firmly believe in b...oth of us, and recognize that this is an opportunity for us to grow as individuals and go all-in on ourselves rather than one another. In keeping with this beautiful picture by @rebecca_wood, I feel like right now I’m going through a massive mental and physical stretching process, so may be on and off social media while I navigate the emotional waves that come with such a large life change.
