We had a wonderful zoom Babies and Beyond today where we created some lovely spring string art. Thank you Leanne for teaching us all! As we move into the green zone for Covid-19 restrictions we are able to begin offering Tuesday and Thursday’s programs in person at Abigail’s starting next week. familySTRONG will be on Tuesday from 10:30-12 with lunch provided. ... Babies and Beyond will be at a special time next Thursday from 11:30-1:30 and will switch back to 10:30-12 the following week. Lunch will also be provided. We have been getting our cooking on over the past few weeks in our Adult Program. We have learned proper cooking hygiene as well as prepping, cooking, and storage skills during the past sessions. Today is our last cooking class of the year and we will be baking up some Christmas goodies! We will be offering another round of cooking classes in the new year, so stayed tuned!

Hello Everyone, We have been very busy here at Abigail's Learning Centre getting everything set up and ready for our Centre to reopen with the first wave of children on Monday. We wanted to share with you all some pictures of our room setups so that you can see what we have been up to.

Hello Everyone, We miss you all so much, and can’t wait to see you again soon! We received another memo from the Ministry Of Education. On the advice of the Cheif Medical Officer of Health, the Ontario Government has extended the emergency orders until May 19. Abigails Learning Centre will remain closed until May 19 or later depending on the recommendations of the medical health officials. ... We will keep you posted when we receive further information. Take care and stay safe!

Thank you to the United Way Quinte, Proctor and Gamble and Grills Orchards for assisting Abigails to provide some necessities for our local community as we deliver to the doorsteps today during the COVID-19 quarentine. We live in a generous community!

An Update: Based on the current situation and the mandatory closure of all non-essential services by Doug Ford, our anticipated re-open date of April 1st is no longer able to happen and we will be closed until further notice. We are continuing to monitor all of the information coming in from the government and the chief medical officer and when we are given the okay to re-open we will update with more information.... We are all thinking of our families and hoping you are all staying safe and taking care of yourselves. From epic forts to puzzles and dress up, we are all getting creative with what we are doing to entertain our children and ourselves during this time. What are some things you have been doing to pass the time at home with your little ones? And just as important, what are some things you are doing for your self care?... A fan favourite at one of our staff's house is playing hide and go seek with her little ones each night after dinner. They look forward to it each day and it is a great way to burn off some extra energy!
