As you may have seen, Statistics Canada has launched a survey on how COVID-19 is impacting Canadians with disabilities and those with long-term health conditions. The survey includes questions about employment, household expenses, support networks and access to services. It will be posted online until July 6th . The more people who answer the survey, the better the information will be. So we are encouraging you to reach out to your staff, volunteers, clients, partners and anyone else in your network to let them know about it. We have included the link to the survey below. Please fill it out. And spread the word! https://www.statcan.gc.ca//sur/household/5323-covid-series

Red Shirt Day is a day when people across Canada come together and wear red in schools, workplaces and spaces everywhere in order to create a visible display of solidarity: to show their support for persons who are living with disabilities, and their commitment to helping to create a fully accessible and inclusive society that honours and values the contributions of people of all abilities in all aspects of life in Canada. Red Shirt Day takes place on the Wednesday of Nationa...l AccessAbility Week each year. In 2020, Red Shirt Day will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020; and National AccessAbility Week is from Sunday, May 31 to Saturday, June 6, 2020. On Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020, post a selfie or a group photo of you with your friends, classmates or colleagues all wearing red on social media with the hashtags: #RedShirtDay, #RedForAccessAbility, #EasterSeals, #unstoppABLE.

We appreciate your work. Thank you for all that you do! Corey Hadden, Regional Director, Regina Region Tanja Ignatiuk, Program Manager, Regina Branch
