I know people have been asking so I thought I would share a little sneak preview of what I have been working on over at @victoriarose.aesthetics ! The initial thought was that this area would be a place to display her products for sale and after some brainstorming we came up with this fun swing design that serves as a display area and a place to get the best insta selfie Swipe to see the original design in CAD!

Sunlight is by far the best decoration, who else is tired of these gloomy winter days . . @stefbrownphoto

When should you think about hiring a designer for your renovation? The truth is you should be thinking about contacting a designer 2-3 months prior to when you would like your project to begin. Many custom furniture and cabinetry companies require 6-8 or sometimes even 8-10 weeks lead time! Not to mention the time it takes for your designer to put together an amazing design, make any necessary changes and have you sign off. ... Something to also take into account is that good contractors book up fast! If you’ve found a contractor that can start tomorrow that is probably a tell tale sign that you should keep looking. Have an open mind when it comes to completion dates, having an exact date is recipe for disappointment. Sometimes things happen! Items go on backorder, delivery trucks get delayed etc. I recommend having a desired week or month of completion example: end of March, mid July etc. That gives you some wiggle room and will avoid any stress if something does get delayed and if not then you’ll be right on schedule or even early! Feel free to comment below or DM me with any questions!

Feeling grateful as 2020 comes to an end. I have met so many amazing clients and reconnected with past clients, worked with some awesome trades who are experts in their field and survived running my business during a pandemic. This year has been a huge learning experience for me and I can’t wait to keep growing, I am so thankful to everyone who has trusted me with transforming their homes and businesses and I am lucky to be able to work every day in a job that I am so passionate about! Testimonial Thursday When my husband suggested we hire Amanda to help us with some ideas regarding our renos, I was a little skeptical. I was thinking this would cost a lot of money and the designer would make suggestions outside for our limited budget. I was so wrong! Amanda is down to earth and can easily adapt to her clientele. She is super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. She helped us figure out what color we should paint the walls but also gave us a bunch of little easy tips to make the house looks good. She left and we felt so relieved. It was extremely helpful and definitely worth the investment which was quite reasonable anyways! Thank you Amanda!! Looking forward to doing business again with you in the future!

5 Easy ways to make an impact in your space 1. Artwork! Don’t be afraid to go bold when it comes to artwork, this can mean vibrant colours, oversized pieces or even your own photography! 2. Fun Accent Pieces! There are no rules when it comes to decorating, find items that mean something to you or make you laugh, this is the easiest way to showcase your personality! ... 3. Area Rugs! Ditch your small area rug and go for something large scale, don’t be afraid of fun colours and patterns! 4. Lighting! It’s important to have different levels of light in a room, that could mean pot lights or a chandelier, table lamps, floor lamps etc. Try mixing metals or buying that weird animal lamp 5. Paint Colours! This is the easiest and most cost efficient way to create impact. If you have neutrals throughout your home try a bold colour in the powder room or dining room!
