Meet Sandra Batista! Sandra graduated with her ECE in 1997. She has over 20 years of experience working and running educational programs in the pre-school and elementary school setting. Sandra has owned her own childcare business for children of all needs. Her experience also includes work at UBC in the DSRF (Down Syndrome Research Foundation) and the Vancouver Oral Center. Sandra is heavily inspired by Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf teachings which makes her approach to educati...on hands-on and child-centered. Her pedagogy helps facilitate positive connections, and conversations among children and adults. When designing activities, Sandra keeps all learners and participants in mind. She believes in making experiences fun, stimulating, and sensory-based as they encourage helpful neurological pathways and self-regulation strategies for children.
