CHANGES TO ABRAXAS FREEPOST To all Denman residents and users of the Freepost at Abraxas, we (Juan and Leslie) deeply regret the following changes which we must make to how the Freepost operates. We have endeavoured to obtain a permit to operate outside these rules but have learned that our application to the Canadian Security and Intelligence Board has been turned down. So EFFECTIVE TODAY, and in order not to jeopardize our federal operating licence, and to bring ourselv...es into compliance with federal regulations relating to possible money laundering and illegal communications under Bill C-36, the Anti-Terrorism Act, Abraxas must make the following changes to the Freepost: 1. Effective today, all persons either leaving mail or picking mail up must provide a social insurance number to a member of the Abraxas staff. 2. Companies and registered societies must provide a staff member with either their incorporation number, or in the case of unregistered businesses, a copy of their business licence. 3. Denman residents who are not Canadian citizens must show a member of the Abraxas staff a valid passport and proof of address or permanent residency card and proof of address. 4. Anyone attempting to evade these rules (which we loathe as much as you do!) will have their mail confiscated and turned over to federal authorities. 5.
