Happy New Year!! This dreamy ensuite is one of my most favourite spaces that we created this past year. We used painted shiplap on all of the walls & used exterior PVC trim boards painted in marine enamel to extend the shiplap throughout the shower! Reflecting back on the year, I have come to realize that although there were definitely some tough times, being distanced from family & friends as well a...s missing out on our European bucket list vacation, the past year has actually been a year of tremendous growth both professionally and personally. Something about having WAY more down time, no travel, limited gatherings or hosting get togethers, allowed me the space truly reflect with gratitude on where I’m at and what I want for the future. A few realizations: 1) I actually really LIKE my family!! I’m not gonna lie...Spending so much time with my husband & kids, could have gone either way, the 4 of us spent so much time together,but I am happy to report that my tribe is a really fun, kind, thoughtful & loving bunch of human beings! 2) Sometimes being forced to slow down, without a bunch of distractions is really good for the soul 3) I am so incredibly grateful for being in a profession that allows me to be creative, and to collaborate & foster connections with amazing clients! 4) I REALLY enjoy wine !!. (Ok, yes- I already knew this, but suddenly in quarantine it became perfectly acceptable to enjoy a glass or two just to celebrate a Monday! Wreaths are one of my most favourite ways to decorate for the season I love the simplicity of a natural evergreen wreath hung in the window. Or in this case 5 of them! My best friend and I made these beauties for a holiday photo shoot, and I’ll be sad to take them down after the holidays!!
