Lemon balm, echinacea, lavender and yarrow in the perennial bed today. We planted this bed to create more habitat for native beneficial insects like beetles and bees. The lemon balm makes great tea too!

Markets this week are @newwestfarmers Thursday and @abbotsfordfarmandcountrymarket on Saturday. How many varieties of our winter squash have you tried? That grey Kabocha in the middle is called Wintersweet and actually tastes better later into the winter, as you store it - think January. Take one home, enjoy it’s beauty, then it’s taste later on. Butternut squash are also good keepers.
