RVT Wanted - 24 HR Animal Care Centre 24 HR Animal Care Centre is seeking motivated Veterinary Technicians who enjoy routine and emergent companion animal care, to join our AAHA accredited team. New grads are welcome and encouraged to apply. With our mentorship program, all new employees are paired up with a senior technician for a minimum of one month (longer if necessary). We invite all candidates to spend a morning/afternoon/evening in our practice to get a ‘feel’ for the ...surroundings and what a day in the life of a technician at our practice entails. We are pleased to offer a $2500 signing bonus to the successful candidate! Wage is negotiable, depending on experience. We also provide a $2.00 per hour shift differential for any overnight or weekend shifts. In addition, we have a health and dental package available, paid SAVT dues, uniform allowance, subsidized pet care and an optional continuing education package. Applicants are required to have completed an accredited Veterinary Technology course and have passed the VTNE. Our technicians generally work 12 hour shifts 12-15 times per month on a rotational basis through day, night and weekend shifts, enjoying approximately 15 days off per month! A typical rotation might be Mon, Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun and then the next week only work Thurs, Fri. We also have shifts available on a part-time and casual basis. At 24 HR Animal Care Centre our mission is to provide compassionate and high quality veterinary care for all companion animals in a modern and friendly environment, to place a strong emphasis on preventative medicine, and to keep reinvesting in our clinic in order to maintain state of the art diagnostic equipment and treatment facilities. We are fully equipped with paperless Cornerstone practice management software, full in-house Idexx laboratory, 2 SurgiVet Advisors (ECG, oxygen saturation, heart rate, blood pressure, end tidal CO2, temperature and respiration monitoring), ultrasonic dental unit, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, K-Laser, and a CT Machine. We also offer full isolation services for patients with infectious diseases, 24 hour hospitalization and monitoring services under direct veterinarian care, and the ability to provide patients with vital services and diagnostics that they may require when other clinics are closed or unavailable.
