Check this out! We're so proud of our alumni, Katrina. Here's a little bit about all the exciting things she's up to and how she got there. Song: Lonely by Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco Choreography: Mitchell Jackson "I started dancing at AOD when I was 7 years old until this most recent year when I graduated. Some of my strongest friendships and relationships have been from people I’ve met at AOD. As well as many many of my favourite memories. I learned a lot about myself h...ere and from consistently coming to class after school. I found my passion here. The encouragement and support I had and still have from the teachers in my daily life and dance life is something I’ll forever be thankful for. I discovered my personal strengths at the studio and not just physical, but with that I found a lot of my weaknesses, weaknesses that I always grew to get better at with the honest help of the teachers at AOD. They saw my potential, held onto it, and guided me in helping me to reach it. When I graduated high school, I needed something different and wanted to see some place new. I had never been to the east coast of Canada but Toronto was a place that I’ve wanted to experience for a few years. So that is where I moved! There was no question whether I was going to continue to dance when I got there. Right now I currently dance Monday to Friday 9:15 am to 4:00 pm with Intrepid Dance Company Professional Training Program. I’ve encountered with great opportunities and am excited for many more to come! It’s hard for me to explain how much I love to dance, but it’s definitely something I can see being involved in my life for a very long time and I’ll always remember where the passion for it first ignited at AOD." Thanks for sharing your beautiful story with us, and for making so many great memories at AOD. We miss you!
