Today should have been our annual Christmas Dinner and Show--a yearly tradition that for so many of us lifted our spirits, and was something we looked forward to. Because of covid, that tradition was not able to happen. Instead, something just as special happened at the studio. Each class experienced the advanced class present a mini nutcracker show just for them. Seeing the wonder and joy on my little dancers faces was absolutely the best gift I could get. I hope tha...t my beautiful advanced dancers (that I am so proud of!) Inspired and showed the littles the joy that dance can bring. This Christmas will be challenging for all of us. I hope that each of you will find something that will creatively- and although perhaps not what is traditional- help you find the magic of Christmas in your heart. It's Sparkle and Shine week here at the Academy! Students may wear sparkly shirts, or something festive. Our evening classes dance with the overhead lights off and just the Christmas lights on for a magical and special class. Although we usually are finished decorating the studio way before now, this year is determined to be "weird" in every way. Needless to say, the Tues ballet students got the tree decorated tonight.
