Did You Know...the Sunday Edition Did you know that there's a search engine that plants trees when you search? www.ecosia.org uses 80% of its profits to plant trees where they're needed in the world.... So far, they've planted over 118 million trees! That's a lot of trees! They're also running entirely on renewable energy and have more privacy protocols in place than some other search engines I can think of that start with G! This story has as many layers as mycelium has uses. Amazing!
Kindness and compassion go a long way. Tradescantia it is.
Ooh, we've been talking about a sensory pathway but a whole sensory garden would be amazing!
We’ve got so many great makers in our community. Check out what Laurie, our VP, has been up to. She says it takes her 1-2 hours to make each card. Remember to appreciate the handmade goods you receive this holiday season!... Are you a maker? Send us your work and we’ll share it! You never know who you’ll inspire.
Thanks but no thanks, friend!
Y’all, this is going to save the Garden a fortune in hoses and cost us big when people leave with the nozzles in their pockets.
Art supplies Garden supplies Same problem, different day!
We don’t see many beech in Calgary so you’d be a real trendsetter!
Many of us will never paint such a convincing tunnel. #Respect
Interested in growing food year round? Have a small yard (or no yard)? You'll want to pay attention to Acadia Tucker, featured on the podcast "Sustainable World Radio".... Her subject? 'Grow Good Food Without A Yard'
For all of you who do giving in the upcoming season: can you relate?
May we all live our passion, every day.
Hey All You Nature Lovers! Good news from the government today... That's a giant positive for an ecosystem near you.
I wish I didn’t know that feeling.
AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I'm in love. How fun would it be to grow 500 varieties of tomato (and keep track of them)?... Hmmm, maybe I've just planned my garden for next year!
Time lapse is one of my favourite things. Some will say bread is one of their favourite things. Our 2 things are married here.

This story has it all! You got your art, your ‘what is art’ debate, your garden produce, your ugly vegetables, your social commentary around farmers’ troubles... It’s a lot. ... No doubt about it. See more
The reason they give the ‘native to your area’ warning is that Virginia creeper is crazy-invasive in some parts of the world. Here in the Big Chill, it’s pretty well behaved.
Building healthy soil is integral to having a productive garden. If you’re looking for a subject to keep you sharp over the winter, there are plenty of books, MOOCS, and videos that will get you growing in the right direction.
Whoa! A whole day of garlic learning!!!
Have your artwork become a part of The Acadia Pool!
First Day of Fall - woot woot! You might be thinking harvest time. You might be thinking fall planting. You might be thinking 'what am I going to do with all these pears'!... Well, this post has nothing to do with any of that. This post is going to explain the reason we 'water in the trees'. So pick up your Pumpkin Spice Latte, and learn more. Your trees will thank you!
