Acadian Credit Union enlisted the services of The Green Door to laminate the vaccine passports for our participating employees. We also covered the cost to laminate those of The Green Door volunteers and workers. What a great service! For those who are not familiar with The Green Door, it is a non-profit organization that provides a facility ,resources , education and hands on education and experience for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. They offer wood furniture refurbishing, The Second Chance Boutique where they sell gently used clothing and other items, laminating services, and drop off boxes for refundables. The quality of work they provide is top -notch and professional. We highly recommend them!

This day honours the children who died while attending residential schools and the survivors, families and communities still affected by the system's legacy. We encourage all members to take some time tomorrow to observe this day in some way, whether it be wearing orange to spread awareness, supporting an Indigenous run business or organization, or spending some time to learn and reflect. Billy is fun-loving, friendly, and always has a prank or two up his sleeve. When he is not at work he can be found coaching basketball, discussing current affairs, and spending time with family and friends in the Margarees.

It was heartwarming to see all of the students from grade primary to 12 , running for our Canadian hero, Terry Fox. This often includes grand adventures in their yard involving dirt, mud, and various machines as well as repairing their imaginary break downs.

Due to COVID-19, our Board of Directors has decided that we will not be having our annual staff, board, committee and spouse Christmas supper this year. Instead, they have decided to give out two $1000 donations to both Papa Noël and Meals on Wheels to make sure our community has food this Christmas. Here at Acadian Credit Union, we believe it is better to give than to receive.
